이곳은 화성행궁과 방화수류정을 오가는, 오래된 것들이 즐비해 있는 거리입니다. 그리고 그 거리에는 오래된 문방구, 신문사, 노포, 분식집과 더불어 새로운 가게들이 들어서고 있었습니다.
기존의 흔적을 제거하고 남은 골조 벽을 그대로 두고, 오래된 재료들과 어우러지는 시멘트 블록과 고재 기둥을 주 마감재로 사용해 기존 거리의 장소성을 유지하고자 했습니다.
파사드에 위치한 네 개의 문은 활짝 열어둘 수 있어 동네의 정취를 느끼기 좋습니다. 잠시 쉬었다 가는 외부 벤치 겸 파사드는 동네 어르신들이 의자를 밖에 두고 앉아계시는 모습과 동화되기 좋고 외부에 앉아 시간을 보내기에도 좋습니다.

This is a street full of old things, going back and forth between Hwaseong Haenggung Palace and Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion. There were new stores on the street along with old stationery stores, newspapers, old stores, and snack bars.
We removed the existing traces and left the remaining frame walls intact, and used cement blocks and old wooden pillars that blend with old materials as the main finishing materials.
The four doors installed on the facade can be left wide open, so it's good to feel the atmosphere of the neighborhood. And after a short break, we also prepared an external bench. Grandfathers and grandmothers living in the neighborhood are sitting outside with chairs, so it's good to sit outside without any incompatibility.
